Why is Chainlink up today?

$13.94+4.6% 24h+13.6% 7d

Chainlink is outperforming a flat-to-lower market, up 4.1% over 24 hours to $13.74 and 12.2% on the week, while Bitcoin slipped 0.9% to $83,646. The clearest driver is positioning: LINK open interest jumped 25% in 24 hours, a sign leveraged traders are chasing the move rather than fading it — and that leverage build sits against a market that just shed $1.7 billion in positions as the 10-year Treasury yield hit 5.22%.

Regulation is the second leg. The SEC's clarification of digital asset rules, which eases how tokens and staking are classified, is directly relevant to a network built around node operators and staked collateral. That landed the same day Commissioner Hester Peirce, the agency's most crypto-friendly voice, formally resigned — a mixed signal for the policy outlook.

On the protocol side, the news is routine: core node software v2.65.0 shipped with a monitoring fix separating user-caused from system-caused confidential-workflow enclave failures, maintenance work rather than a catalyst.
