Why is MemeCore moving today?

$1.23+0.3% 24h-7.2% 7d

MemeCore is essentially flat, down 0.7% over 24 hours at $1.22, moving in line with a broader market that is treading water. Bitcoin is down a near-identical 0.8% at $84,095 after absorbing what CryptoSlate called a 5.2% Treasury shock — the benchmark 10-year yield climbing to 5.22%, a decades-high borrowing cost — while traders cut roughly $1.7 billion in leverage. There is no MemeCore-specific news in today's feed; the move is market beta, not a token event.

Risk sentiment is also still digesting the Bitget hack, in which a newly created wallet drained about $350 million from hot and cold reserves across multiple chains in under an hour. On the other side, the SEC's clarification of digital-asset rules around token and staking classification, and Hester Peirce's resignation as commissioner, have left regulatory expectations unsettled rather than clearly bullish.

Worth noting the mechanics: $M reports only $1.11 million of 24-hour volume against a $2.78 billion market cap, so thin trading can exaggerate moves. Over seven days the token is down 6.9% while Bitcoin is up 3.0%.
